Courtney Peck, LICSW

Clinical Social Worker and psychotherapist

I’ve always been curious about life and people, and how we create meaning and beauty in the world. I love being a witness to all the ways creativity and connection are unleashed, on yearly backpacking trips with my siblings, kicking a soccer ball around with my kids on a beach, reading books and watching good shows in bed, or enjoying a pastry and a pretty view at a local cafe. I’m grateful for the unique experience I have to hear your stories and see your hearts.

I received a Master of Social Work degree from Boston University where I was trained as a clinical social worker. I am licensed in the state of Washington to provide counseling services as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (License #LW.6118733). Because of that curious thing I mentioned above, I have another Master’s Degree in Instructional Psychology and a Bachelor’s Degree in Family Science. I enjoy being in private practice, and have worked at a youth agency providing counseling services to teens and parents, taught university psychology classes, and have worked doing program evaluation and needs assessments.

In addition to my professional education I participate in continuing education relevant to the needs of my clients. I have specialized training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and mindfulness modalities as well as training in Gottman and Emotionally Focused Therapies. I prioritize developing cultural humility, exploring and responding to my own privileges, and acknowledging the effects of systemic oppressions with a trauma-informed perspective.
